The festivities commence on Sunday, November 26th for the Big Christmas Light Switch On at Inverurie Town Centre. Setting the tone for a wonderful season, visitors can expect the wonderful pipe band parade and a breathtaking fireworks display to go alongside the live music, kid’s funfair, numerous food vans and market stalls.

Then, Santa's Grotto opens its doors on Saturday, December 2nd and 9th, as well as Sunday, December 10th. Children and families will have the opportunity to meet Santa Claus in a charmingly decorated grotto with the opportunity to make memories that will last a lifetime.
Carols, smiles and singing voices will light up the town for this year’s Big Sing at the West Church on Saturday, December 2nd. Inverurie Events have teamed up with The West Parish Church and local schools to bring you a feel-good community singalong with all your favourite Christmas songs.
Saturday December 2nd is also INverurie BID's Small Business Saturday where the very best of Inverurie’s Independent businesses are taking part in this national initiative to encourage ‘Shopping & Eating Locally’. The Nativity Trail is simultaneously taking place, hosted by The Catalyst Vineyard Church. Starting at St Mary’s Church Hall (2pm to 4pm), you are invited to join the Nativity Trail around Inverurie Town Centre to find ‘real life’ characters from the Nativity Story.
Continuing, on Sunday, December 3rd, we invite you to enjoy a delightful Breakfast with Santa at the Elgin Kintore Arms Hotel. Bring your wee ones for a deliciously cooked breakfast while basking in the festive atmosphere and spending quality time with Santa Claus.
Saturday, December 9th, will be a day to remember with the Reindeer Parade as the renowned Cairngorm Reindeer visit Inverurie. This annual event is a must-see for the community as Santa’s beautiful creatures parade through the Town Centre to create a truly magical spectacle. The beloved Inverurie Farmers Market takes place beforehand from 9am too!
Then, on the evening of Saturday, December 9th, Inverurie Events Present - ‘Bring Your Party to our Christmas Party’ at The Garioch Indoor Bowling Centre, Harlaw Road (6.30pm – 12am). Tickets are £45 which includes a full meal, Prosecco on arrival and a live band ‘Celtic Rouge’ with tickets now available via our Treasurer, Caron Harper (07979 415182 / caron.harper@hotmail.co.uk).
The Santa Run on Sunday, December 10th, invites participants of all ages, including children, adults, and wheelchair racers, to join in and bring holiday cheer to the runners and spectators.
Finally, on Friday, December 15th, Inverurie will host a unique and thrilling Tractor Run starting and ending at the Garioch Heritage Centre. Adorned with festive decorations, Inverurie's tractors will parade through the town, providing a sight to behold and a fitting end to our holiday celebrations. The Café at GHC will be open 4pm to 8pm with Hot Food & Drinks, various stalls and music.
